About Capitalex
Our story
Capitalex was founded in 2016 by Jessica Zoutsos, a former civil engineer and Goldman Sachs banker, who has helped to establish and scale a number of SME funds including BGF, Northern Gritstone, AllBright and Midlands Mindforge.
In her career as an investor, Jessica became aware of the challenges faced by UK SMEs in accessing capital and the industry’s over-reliance on decades-old distribution channels.
She created Capitalex to democratise access using technology and industry-insider expertise.
Jessica was recognised in the Innovate Finance Women in Fintech Powerlist for Capitalex’s impact on the industry. She continues to advocate for improved access to capital and serves as a Non Executive and Advisor to SMEs and funds.
